One day, the main sights, no rush. The only real climb is the Monument — everything else is flat-ish and walkable.
Unorthodox for the coffee, or Toast for a proper sit-down brunch by the river.
Give it a good two hours. The views are the headline; the palace interiors are the surprise.
Walk down through the Old Town, browse the side streets, grab lunch nearby.
Bus 52 or UL from Goosecroft Road (opposite the station) drops you at the car park. Signs from there.
End with the riverside walk, or a stroll over the footbridge to Cambuskenneth Abbey.
